As the old year blows out his last candle before shuffling away into faded memories - a new, bright year emerges full of optimism and energy to commit to New Year resolutions. Generally, the top three New Year resolutions consisted of having more money, losing weight, and taking better care of one’s self. Life Alert wants you to know that we can help you in obtaining and maintaining all three goals.
You may be wondering how can the #1 emergency response company in the country help you with getting more money? Easy! The inexpensive cost of a Life Alert medical response system over a three year period doesn’t even add up to one month’s rent at a retirement community. When you get a Life Alert medical response system you can continue to live independently in your own home, and by remaining in your own home - you’ve saved money!
Which leads us to how we can help you lose weight and stay in shape for the coming year. Since Life Alert allows you to maintain living independently in your own home, the money you saved from not going into a retirement community can go towards a gym membership or even a private trainer and nutritionist to help you with your health goals. In addition, you can go to Life Alert’s article page on our website to read up on all the latest, greatest health treads for anyone over 50.
Moreover, our various services and packages are designed to help you take care of yourself. With the Life Alert Protection System, you can protect yourself, your family and your home. Our monitored Smoke Detector and monitored Carbon Monoxide detector protects your home, whether you’re there or not, by sending a signal to our emergency dispatch center at the first sign of smoke or CO gas. Our dispatchers contact you and then send help fast, 24/7. This kind of time saving action during an emergency can literally mean the difference between life and death.
Next, Life Alert Home Intrusion Protection package provides you with an audio monitoring system that, when activated by you, notifies our security center where our emergency dispatchers can hear any suspicious activity within the home. In the event that someone breaks in, our dispatchers will report a verified home invasion to the police and warn the intruder that the authorities are on their way, all the while, remaining on the line with you until help arrives.
With Life Alert, you have a variety of home and personal safety packages that will have you taking better care of yourself. So as you’re singing Auld Lang Syne this New Year’s Eve, commit to make the new year the best one yet by taking care of yourself with a Life Alert Protection System, so you can continue living independently and protected in your own home.

Twas the Fall Before Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring not even my spouse.
My medications were set by the bed stand with care,
In hopes that a good night’s sleep would soon be here.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Down the stairs I flew, perhaps a bit too quick,
forgetting about my arthritic foot, knee, and hip.
As I started to fall I looked for something to brace,
grabbing my table with Santa’s village and holiday lace.
But down I went to the floor below,
Bring with me the village, lace and artificial snow.
Lying on the floor surrounded by Christmas debris,
I had massacred Santa’s workshop, some elves, and trees.
Try as I might, I couldn’t move at all,
Not even roll over to the phone to make a call.
“Help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” I declared,
Hoping my husband would hear me up stairs.
But sound asleep he was, nestled in our bed,
With visions of Christmas turkey dancing in his head.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
Upon my chest among all the plastic reindeer?
My Life Alert pendant shining like a gift from heaven,
So I can call for help, fast, 24/7.
After pushing my help button, a reassuring voice, I must say,
Was keeping me calm while help was on the way.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard at the door,
The knocking of help to lift me from the floor.
The firemen suddenly appeared like Santa’s magic elves,
And I laughed with relief, in spite of myself.
Dressed in uniforms, professional from head to foot,
Their clothes were clean and neat, no ashes or soot.
A bundle of tools were set on the floor,
They checked my vitals and so much more.
In no time, upon my feet walking I was able,
They even set Santa’s village back on the table.
My night before Christmas fall had been put to the test,
Resulting in Life Alert Emergency Response being the best.
With 5 areas of protections for the family and home,
from monitored help, smoke/gas alarms, and even a mobile phone.
One touch of a button sends help immediately,
For medical, fall, fire and other emergencies.
So I can maintain an independent lifestyle,
With confidence, security, and a victorious smile.
I am ever so grateful to my Life Alert Protection,
And the EMTs, who cleaned everything up, leaving no detection.
I heard one of them exclaim as they drove out of sight,
Be careful, stay safe and to all a good night.

Little Known Fact: Life Alert Makes a Great Gift for the Receiver and the Giver.
Tis the season when stockings are hung, menorahs are lit, and gift ideas abound with every TV commercial. However, with the economy being a bit challenging right now, it is best that your gift buying money is well spent on something the receiver really wants…or at least will need.
You may have thought a medical alert system wouldn’t be jolly or fun enough to be a holiday gift. But, Life Alert’s emergency response system comes in a nice size box that fits perfectly under a tree, and when your elderly loved one unwraps it they’ll know immediately they just received something special.
Moreover, Life Alert Classic or our 50+ System is fashion versatile so one can either wear it around the neck, on the wrist, or attach it to a belt. For those who prefer a more discreet option we also offer a handsome watch with emergency help button.
However, the real gift of a Life Alert system isn’t the box or how you wear the pendant, as you know. It’s the gift of giving independence to an elderly family member while providing a life saving link in case of an emergency. With Life Alert, seniors can continue to live independently without fear or having to give up their lifestyle to go into a senior home.
But did you know that when you give the Life Alert system, there’s a little gift inside for you? Each Life Alert Emergency Response system comes with a priceless peace of mind. That’s right. Once you buy Life Alert for your family you receive, in return, peace of mind knowing that in any kind of home emergency, such as a fall, medical, fire, or home invasion that with one push of a button help will be sent fast, 24/7.
Although many products may boast that their gizmo or gadget is the gift that keeps on giving, but how many of them can truthfully declare - with proof - of their ability to save a life from catastrophe every 23 minutes like Life Alert can?
Life Alert Protection lets your loved one safely live in their own home longer and that truly is a gift that keeps on giving.
